Laureate head right; countermark: AVG in incuse rectangle / Front elevation of the altar of Lugdunum decorated with a corona civica between laurels, these being flanked by stylized figures; to either side, Victories on columns facing each other. RIC I 248a (Augustus); BNMCRE 580 (Augustus); Cohen 35; countermark Pangerl 41. Fine, dark brown patina, rough surfaces.
