Octavian. 30-29 BC. AR Denarius (20mm, 3.16 g). Italian mint, possibly Rome. Laureate head right / Rostral column set on low basis, decorated with six rostra and two upturned anchors, and surmounted by statue of Octavian holding reverted spear and parazonium. RIC I 271; CRI 423; BMCRE 633; RSC 124. Near VF, porous, recently cleaned.
