BOIOTIA, Orchomenos. Circa 385-375 BC. AR Stater (12.18 g). Boiotian shield, wheat ear with wavy stalk to right across top end / Amphora; EY above, EP-XO across field; all in concave circle. Head, Boeotia p. 49, pl. IV, 8 = BMC 24, pl. VIII, 12 (same dies); SNG Cop. 199 (same rev. die). Good VF, mellow medium grey tone, minor deposits on reverse. An attractive and rare issue. ($2000)
