ANCIENT NEAR EAST. Levant & the Near East. Luristan Bronze Dirk or Dagger. Circa 1200-800 BC. (14.25” / 36.5 cm long). Tapering blade with raised rib toward tip and integral handle; each side of the handle was originally set with ivory, bone, or hardwood. Mahboubian, Art of Ancient Iran, 379. Dark green patina with light mineralized deposits, areas of minor corrosion.
