ROMAN. Imperial. Bronze Applique Roundel Depicting an Eagle. Circa 3rd-4th centuries AD. (23mm in diameter). Bronze disk with raised rim, the obverse depicting a stylized eagle with spread wings, the reverse blank.. Dark green patina with light earthen deposits, otherwise as made.

The eagle on this decorative applique strongly resembles the reverse of coins struck in the mid-3rd century AD at Alexandria Troas in Asia Minor
