CENTRAL ASIAN. China, Han Dynasty. Green-glazed Wine Jar. Circa 2nd Century BC - 2nd Century AD. (4.75” / 120 cm tall), graceful vessel with flared mouth, narrow neck, bulbous body and round foot. Covered with jade-green glaze. Cf. Cox Figure 200 (no handles). Intact, the glaze present and mostly glossy, a few areas of mineralized encrustation.
