CIR CEN SES 1920, chariot, containing Clemenceau (standing left, smoking pipe and beating bass drum and cymbals), Lloyd George (standing right, dressed as judge), and Wilson (seated and look at tablet containing his “14 Points”), drawn left by two mules; behind, bound German soldier following with hands tied behind back with rope, colonial British soldier, holding rope; in backgound, two colonials hold standards; MVNDVS VVLT DECIPI/ERGO DECIPIATVR (The world wishes to be deceived; therefore, let it be deceived) in two lines in exergue / O! DEUTSCHLAND HOCH IN EHREN! (O! Germany High in Honor!), French and British soldier marching off German High Command to left (from left, Hindenburg, Mackensen, Ludendorff, Tirpitz, and Bethmann-Hollweg are specifically noticeable); to right, dejected German imperial eagle, perched right on document inscribed ARTIK/227/–/230 set on stele, vomiting; K – /GOETZ on base of stele; DER GEGNER HASSER –/FÜLLTE RACHT (The hate-filled opponent’s revenge) in two lines in exergue.
