ALL RIGHT WEITER ZVM KRIEGSSCHAUPLATZ (All Right On to the Theater of War), British soldier, wearing forage cap and kilt, and smoking pipe, standing left, bending down, encouraging Indian elephant and mahout forward with hand; carnival-like figure to left; additional Indian figures to right / Ornate welome gate inscribed VIVE LES ANGLAIS (Long live the English) with placards inscribed NOUS SOMMES SAUVÉ (We are saved) and 1914, and shields inscribed RF, set on beach; below, Indian advancing forward, holding banner inscribed GRAND/ATTRACTION/DES INDIERS/A MARSEILLES in four lines; K and G on base of gate’s supporting columns; in background, native boat on water.
