Trajan. AD 98-117. AR Denarius (20 mm, 3.30 g, 6h). Rome mint. Struck circa spring AD 113-summer 114. Laureate bust right, wearing aegis / Mars advancing right, holding transverse spear and trophy over shoulder, parazonium in belt at waist. RIC II 270 var. (bust type); Woytek 423c (this coin referenced); RSC 372c var. (same). Attractively toned, minor marks, faint hairlines on reverse. Good VF. Woytek lists this coin and four others with this bust type. Rare.
