CRETE, Knossos. 2nd-1st century BC. Æ (27mm, 11.81 g, 12h). Kydas, magistrate. Laureate head of Zeus right; half of thunderbolt before chin / Eagle, with open wings, standing right. Svoronos, Numismatique 142; Joy 479–80; SNG Copenhagen 388. Rough dark green-brown patina, some smoothing, slightly off center, flan preparation marks and area of weak strike on reverse. VF. Rare.
