POTTERY. Greek Southern Italian Colonies. c. 4th-3rd Cent. BCE. (52 mm tall x 225 mm wide). A Gnathian style kylix in Blackware with squat foot, long, extended handles from each side of the vessel and a large, wide cup. Grape vines decorate both the exterior and interior of the cup, with carved elements further accentuating the vines. Centrally, in the interior of the cup, a kantharos. One handle reattached. Chip and crack at top of bowl. Wear to painted surfaces with some minor touch up. Otherwise an attractive piece. Website shipping rates do not apply.
