Marcus Aurelius. AD 161-180. Æ Sestertius (31.5mm, 31.70 g, 12h). Rome mint. Struck AD 170. Laureate head right / Marcus Aurelius on horseback right, holding spear; to left, three solidiers standing right, each holding a signum; to right, soldier standing left, holding spear and shield. RIC III 977; MIR 18, 191-6/30; Banti 247 (same dies as illustration). Dark green and red-brown patina, a few small flan flaws. Good Fine. Struck on a heavy flan.
