Ex S.N. Lane (Spink 23, 21 September 1982), lot 118, purchased from C.J. Denton.

The obverse of this extremely rare coin is likely derived from a facing bust Norman issue, possibly the PAX pennies of William I, while the reverse is a Hiberno-Norse invention comprised of a few simple shapes.
