Crowned facing bust within tressure of arches / Long cross pattée; mullets and triplet pellets in alternating quarters. Burns 15a (588A, same dies); SCBI 35 (Ashmolean & Hunterian), 760 (same rev. die); SCBC 5276. Some roughness and minor edge splits. VF.

James III was the last Scottish king to hold Berwick. Captured by Richard Duke of Gloucester, later Richard III, in 1483, the city has been and held for England ever since.
