Domitian. AD 81-96. Fourrée Denarius (18.5mm, 2.81 g, 6h). A hybrid, imitating a Rome mint aureus obverse from early AD 88 and a denarius reverse of 90-91. IMP CAES DOMIT AVG GERM P M TRP X, laureate head right / GERMANI [CVS] above, COS XIIII in exergue, Domitian riding left in triumphal quadriga, holding branch and scepter. Cf. RIC II.1 719-22/561 (for obv./rev. types). Toned, breaks in plating reveal copper core. Good VF.
