BRYAN MONEY. Bronzed Babbitt-metal Medal (89mm, 144.2 g, 12h). Dated 1896. Head of Liberty left; stars around, 1896 below / UNITED STATES OF AMERICA/ 16 TO 1 NIT, eagle facing with wings spread, head left, holding olive branch and arrows; wreath below. Schornstein 718 note. A few scratches and scrapes, edge marks. VF. Very rare.

During the 1896 campagin, W.F. Dunham of Chicago distributed three hundred examples of this variety. This example is one of 100 of Dunham’s pieces that were bronzed to give them a golden appearance.
