BULGARIA, Second Empire. Ivan Aleksandar. 1331–1371. AR Groš (21.5mm, 1.51 g, 6h). Veliko Turnovo mint. Christ Pantokrator standing facing before seat / Crowned facing figures of Ivan Aleksandar and Mihail Asen IV, both wearing loros, holding cruciform scepter, and holding long staff surmounted by stylized lys between them; stars flanking base of staff. Raduchev & Zhekov 1.13.3-6; cf. Youroukova & Penchev 77 (for type); cf. Dochev, Katalog 2480 (for similar type). Toned, a few minor spots of weakness. EF. Very sharp for issue.
