Laureate head left / Poseidon in biga drawn by hippocamps left. Amandry XX 31 (De/RIIa5.1) = BCD Korinth 436 (this coin); RPC I 1192. Brown surfaces, obverse off center. Fine. RPC describes the obverse as “laureate head of Nero, r. or l.” but does not illustrate any specimens of the head left variety. Very rare regardless of head direction, but exceedingly rare facing left. |
