Diademed and draped bust right / Laureate Herakles standing facing, holding club set on ground and lion skin draped over forearm; monogram to inner left. Cf. Bopearachchi 3A; Bopearachchi & Rahman –; SNG ANS –; cf. MIG Type 373 = BMBI 1; cf. HGC 12, 225 corr. (coin illustrated misattributed as no. 226). Toned, plating broken revealing underlying bronze core with traces of green. Fine. Interesting fourrée of a very rare type.
