THESSALY, Larissa. Circa 420-400 BC. AR Drachm (20.5mm, 5.99 g, 9h). The hero Thessalos, with petasos and chlamys hanging around neck, restraining bull left by band held around its head / Horse prancing right, trailing rein, within incuse circle. Lorber, Thessalian 60; BCD Thessaly II 370.3; HGC 4, 421 var. (horse left). Toned, struck with worn obverse die, scuffs and minor die wear on reverse. VF.
