PLOTINA • AVG IMP TRAI[AN]I, draped bust right, wearing hair bunched high in front and held in position by a double stephane, hair elaborately waved at back and falls down in a queue / CAES ΛVG GERMA DAC COS VI P P, Vesta seated left on chair without back, holding palladium and scepter. RIC II 730 (Trajan); Woytek 705-1 (Trajan); RSC 3. Toned, flan flaws, un-retained lamination on obverse, lamination crack down obverse and halfway around the edge, some shallow scratches on reverse. VF. Rare. The Reka Devnia Hoard contained only four denarii of Plotina, all of this type, compared to 5205 of her husband Trajan. |
