ATTICA, Athens. Circa 454-404 BC. AR Tetradrachm (22.5mm, 17.11 g, 8h). Contemporary imitation. Helmeted head of Athena right, with frontal eye / Owl standing right, head facing, spread tail feathers; olive sprig and crescent to left; all within incuse square. For prototype: cf. Kroll 8; cf. HGC 4, 1597. Toned, test cut and countermark (Aramaic B on hexagonal relief within incuse square) on reverse. Near VF. |
