POTTERY. Southern Italian Greek Colonies. c. 4th-2nd Cent. BCE. (120 mm wide x 138 mm tall). A simply formed Oinochoe with a tear shaped base terminating in a flat foot. The neck is squat flaring out at the lip. A single short handle extends from the lip to the body of the vase. An ivy pattern surrounds the body of the vase, bordered by two single lines. Above, a pattern of vertical lines. Minor loss of painted details from use. Light deposits. Otherwise intact and attractive. Website shipping rates do not apply. |
