SPAIN, Emporion. Circa 450-425 BC. AR Trihemiobol (0.87 g, 12h). Archaic head of Athena(?) left / Gorgoneion within incuse square. Aureo (27 February 2002), lots 159-160, otherwise unpublished (but cf. Campo pl. XVI, 5, for rev. type). EF, dark iridescent toning. Wonderful archaic style.
