PLANTAGENET. Edward II. 1307-1327. AR Penny (19mm, 1.41 g, 11h). Class 11c. Canterbury mint. Struck circa 1312-1314. Crowned facing bust / Long cross; three pellets in quarters. SCBI 39 (North), 848; North 1062/1; SCBC 1457. Good Fine, toned. This has ‘distinctive A’ of North figure 4 p 35; the double-notched R (’R3’) obverse and the single notched R (’R2’) reverse, and the ‘square N with prominent serifs’ all of which point to Class 11c; however the old ticket attributes it to Class 14 .
