CLAUDIUS. 41-54 AD. Æ Sestertius (33mm, 18.01 g, 7h). Balkan imitation. Laureate head right; Countermarked DV / Spes advancing left holding flower and hem of skirt. Cf. RIC I 99; cf. BMCRE 129; cf. Cohen 85. Coin Fine, green patina, countermark VF. Retariffed as a Dupondius.

Note the small test cut at right - apparently to insure the coin was at least of good copper.
