ATTICA, Athens. Circa 500/490-485/0 BC. AR Tetradrachm (23mm, 17.42 gm, 2h). Helmeted head of Athena right, wearing crested Attic helmet / [A]QE, owl standing right with split tail feathers, head facing; olive sprig behind; all within incuse square. Asyut Group IV; Seltman Group M, 388 (A254/P328; pl. xvii - this coin used to illustrate the reverse die); Svoronos, Monnaies pl. 5, 23 = SNG München 37 (same obverse die). VF, attractively toned, flan irregularity on edge. Well-struck. Rare.
