IC XC, Christ, nimbate, enthroned facing, raising hand in benediction and holding Gospels / IW DEC MHP QU PO FUGENHT (approximately), John standing facing, holding labarum and being crowned by the Virgin Mary. DOC IV 5; SB 2073. Good VF.

There is still a great deal of debate regarding the placement of the hyperpyra in the name of John. Some scholar argue that this issue should be given to John II, Thessalonica mint (1181-1143)
