CYRRHESTICA, Beroea. Diadumenian. As Caesar, AD 217-218. AR Tetradrachm (25.5mm, 13.71 g, 1h). Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Eagle standing facing, head and tail left, with wings spread; between legs, winged animal flanked by B-Є. Prieur 899 (this coin cited). Lightly toned with underlying luster, a touch of porosity, some copper oxide deposits, flatly struck around the edges. EF. Extremely rare, only three noted by Prieur, and five in CoinArchives.
