SELEUCIS and PIERIA, Emesa. Uranius Antoninus. Usurper, AD 253-254. BI Tetradrachm (24.5mm, 12.39 g, 6h). Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Eagle standing facing, head and tail left, with wings spread, holding wreath in beak; S C to either side of wings, ЄMICA in exergue. Baldus 10 (this coin–dies VIII/9); Prieur 1039 (this coin); RPC IX 1871/2 (this coin cited and illustrated). Dark brown find patina with some red encrustation, roughness, light scrape across portrait. Good VF. Extremely rare, only two known to Prieur, and one, this coin, in CoinArchives.
