Diademed head of Venus right / Cupid advancing right, holding wreath and palm frond; RVFI before. Crawford 463/5b; CRI 67; Sydenham 980b corr. (RVFI not RVF); Cordia 7a; Type as RBW 1609. Near VF, toned, porosity, bankers’ marks. Very rare.

This very rare sestertius comes in at least four legend varieties, four noted in RRC, as well as RBW 1609, which has a reverse clearly reading RVPI. This coin reads MN.CORDI/RVFI. [Andrew McCabe]
