INDIA, Kushan Empire. Huvishka. Circa AD 151-190. Æ Tetradrachm (27mm, 12.60 g, 11h). Main mint in Kapisha (Begram?). Early phase. Huvishka seated facing cross-legged, holding ankuśa (elephant goad) or sword and scepter; trace of clouds below / Siva standing facing, holding trident; behind, the bull Nandi standing right; tamgha to upper right. Cf. MK 822 (for obv.); ANS Kushan –; Donum Burns –; cf. CNG E-322, lot 416 (for rev., but with tamgha to left). Near VF, brown surfaces, worn through on highest points, smoothing.
