MYSIA, Kyzikos. 3rd century BC. AR Tetradrachm (23.5mm, 12.86 g, 12h). Wreathed head of Kore Soteira left, hair in sphendone covered with a veil / Apollo, nude but for chlamys draped from his waist, seated left on omphalos, holding phiale, left arm resting on kithara seated on ground to right; monograms to left and right. Cf. Von Fritze II 28–32; Boston MFA –; SNG BN –; Traité –. Near VF, find patina, cleaning marks. Very rare variety, apparently unpublished with these control marks.
