IONIA, Ephesos. Circa 390-325 BC. AR Tetradrachm (21.5mm, 15.26 g, 11h). Contemporary imitation. Dion, magistrate. Bee / Forepart of stag right, head left; palm tree to left, ΔIΩN to right. Unpublished in the standard references, but for other examples recently sold, see: CNG 102, lot 445, and CNG E-403, lot 180. Near VF, toned, slightly off center on obverse. Good metal.
There are no known official issues from Ephesos known with a magistrate named Dion.
