Nero. AD 54-68. Æ As (26mm, 9.06 g, 12h). Balkan mint (Perinthus?). Struck circa AD 64-66. Laureate head right / Neptune standing left, holding trident and dolphin; S C to either side. RIC I (old edition) 441; RIC I (new edition) –, but see discussion on pp. 186-7; RPC I 1760. VF, dark green and brown patina, roughness and some smoothing. Rare.
