Draped bust of girl right, wearing peasant cap, framed by hops; views of hop yard in background; LA BIÈRE below bust; trace of artist’s name to left; CONCOURS DE LA SOCITÉ HOL • BELGE/– DES AMIS DE LA MÉDAILLE 1906 – in two lines in exergue / Nude female seated left below grape vines, preparing to consume grape cluster; at feet to left, artist’s name; at feet to right, grape cluster and overturned classical kylix; DE WIJN in tablet above; VERG • V/D VRIENDEN – DER MEDAILLE • in exergue.
