Claudius. AD 41-54. AR Denarius (18mm, 3.82 g, 6h). Rome mint. Struck AD 49-50. Laureate head right / Nemesis walking right, holding out fold of drapery below chin, and holding winged caduceus over serpent before. RIC I 47; von Kaenel Type 28 (unlisted dies); RSC 61. Near EF, gold-gray iridescent toning, minor edge nick. Bold strike and excellent silver quality.
