Napoli (Naples) mint; Giovan Battista Ravaschieri, mintmaster, Vincenzo Porzio, trial master. Struck 1556-1567. Bareheaded, armored, and draped bust right; (IBR)/(retrograde [VP]) to left / Crowned coat-of-arms; shield within ornate frame. Cf. CNI XX 489 (for type); cf. Pannuti-Riccio 15a (same); cf. MIR 171/1 (same). Near VF, toned, minute traces of deposits and encrustation, ding on reverse edge.
