CNG 93 Information

CNG 93, an Internet and mail bid sale, closing 22 May 2013, is currently in preparation. Catalogs will be mailed in the middle of April to customers on our active mailing list.

CNG 93 will feature a number of collections, including further selections from the BCD Collection of the coins of Thessaly, the Kelly J. Krizan Collection, which has a special emphasis on Greek and Roman Cilicia, the final offering of Roman Provincial from Group CEM, further selections from the Chiltern Collection of Roman Republican and Imperial coins, the Bramhall Collection of Byzantine coinage, the Peter de Vries Collection of the coins of India, and the David Hendin Collection of Egyptian scarabs. The sale will also feature important Greek coins originally offered in Triton XV that were left unpaid by the winning bidder. Other highlights from the sale include a rare Chalkidian League stater, an extremely rare Alexander-type stater in the name of Demetrios Poliorketes, an exceptional Argos stater, an oktadrachm of Antiochos III, an extraordinary Maaseno dinar of Huvishka, a high-grade denarius of Clodius Macer, a dynastic aureus of the family of Septimius Severus, an antoninianus of Jotapian, a Tres Monetae medaillion of Probus, a collection of French coinage from the 18th–20th centuries, a diverse offering of coins of the doges of Venice, a lovely penny of Olof Skötkonung, a superb penny of Aethelstan, and high-grade angels of Edward IV and Henry VII.

The catalog will be available for online viewing in the middle of April. Catalogs may be ordered for $50 for delivery in North America, or $75/£50 for delivery elsewhere. Orders may be placed through our Lancaster or London offices. Payment can be made by check (made out to CNG) or by submitting credit card details.
