Aurelian. AD 270-275. Antoninianus (23mm, 4.00 g, 6h). Ticinum mint. 1st emission, May AD 274. Radiate and cuirassed bust right, with tassels on left shoulder / Sol standing left, right foot on bound captive, raising right hand and holding globe in left; to right, second bound captive seated right, head reverted; star in left field; TXXI. Cf. RIC V 151; cf. BN 578; MIR 47, 70b3. EF, full silvering, slight encrustation. Rare and attractive bust variety.
