PTOLEMAIC KINGS of EGYPT. Ptolemy III Euergetes. 246-222 BC. AR Tetradrachm (28mm, 14.16 g, 12h). Alexandreia mint. Struck circa 230-222 BC. Diademed head of Ptolemy I right, wearing aegis around neck / ΠTOΛEMAIOY ΣΩTHPOΣ, eagle standing left on thunderbolt; cornucopia to left. Svoronos 1001; SNG Copenhagen 167–8; Noeske 116. Near EF, attractively toned. Well centered on a broad flan, with a fine style portrait.
