LUCANIA, Velia. Circa 280 BC. AR Nomos (20mm, 7.11 g, 3h). Head of Athena left, wearing helmet decorated with griffin; Φ on neck guard, AP monogram behind neck guard / Lion at bay right; caduceus above, YEΛHTΩN in exergue. William 532c (O267/R372) = SNG Lockett 570 (this coin); HN Italy 1316. Good VF, toned, slight roughness.
