JUDAEA, Neapolis. Marcus Aurelius. AD 161-180. Æ 32mm (25.07 g, 12h). Dated CY 89 (161 CE). Radiate head right / Mt. Gerizim with the temple in perspective, and altar, stair, colonnade, roadway, and shrines in the face of the rock; date in exergue. Cf. Rosenberger 9-10 (Antoninus Pius); SNG ANS -; SNG Hunterian -; SNG Righetti -; BMC -. VF, dark brown patina with earthen deposits. Extremely rare, unpublished type for Marcus Aurelius from this city.
