THESSALY, Meliboeia. Circa 352-344 BC. Æ 15mm (3.13 g, 2h). Wreathed head of nymph right / Grape bunch on vine. Helly, Quelques 14; cf. Rogers 391 (larger denomination); SNG Copenhagen -; SNG München 114 var. (position of ethnic). VF, dark green patina. Very rare denomination.

Both Helly 14 and Rogers 393 reference Traité pl. CCC, 24. According to Rogers, the nymph on this type has her hair pulled back and tied behind, as illustrated in his Fig. 206. However, the illustration of the Traité coin (also in Helly) appears to have a wreathed hairstyle like the later issue, Rogers 391.
