Unlisted Type at Heraclea
Licinius I. AD 308-324. Æ Follis (21mm, 4.50 g, 11h). Heraclea mint, 1st officina. Struck AD 313. IMP C VAL LICIN LICINIVS P F AVG, laureate head right / HERCVLI VICTORI, Farnese Hercules standing right, holding club and lion skin; A/-/SMHT. RIC VI -. EF. Very rare.
Though struck at other mints such as Nicomedia and Antioch, this particular reverse type featuring the Farnese Hercules is unlisted for Heraclea. A similar specimen from Nicomedia brought €910 in Helios I (17-18 April 2008).
