ATTICA, Athens. Circa 165-42 BC. AR Tetradrachm (16.87 g, 11h). New Style coinage. Timarchos, Nikago-, and Menan-, magistrates. Struck 134/3 BC. Helmeted head of Athena right / Owl standing right, head facing, on amphora; magistrates’ names in fields, anchor and star to left, E on amphora, ME below; all within wreath. Thompson 364b var. (same obv. die; spelling of 2nd magistrate). EF, light iridescent toning, tiny metal flaw at tip of Athena’s nose.
