Annia Aurelia Galeria Lucilla was the second daughter of Marcus Aurelius and Faustina Junior and the elder sister of the future emperor Commodus. In 161 AD she was betrothed to her father’s co-ruler Lucius Verus. Although she did not attain the rank of Augusta until their marriage in AD 164, coins were struck from the time of her betrothal.
