SICILY, Selinos. Circa 540-515 BC. AR Didrachm (8.75 g). Selinon leaf; two pellets flanking central leaf / Incuse square divided into twelve sections. Arnold-Biucci group I, 4/3 (obv./rev.); Selinus Hoard -; SNG ANS 676 var. (same obv. die; ten sections on rev.); SNG Lloyd -. EF, lightly toned. Struck on good metal. Rare.


This type with two pellets in the upper fields is fairly common, but is only known with the reverse incuse divided into ten sections.
