Helmeted head of Athena right; countermarks: eye(?), frog and cruciform punch / Owl standing right, head facing; olive sprig and crescent behind; all within incuse square; countermarks; cruciform punches. Kroll 8; Dewing 1591; SNG Copenhagen 31. Near VF, toned. These countermarks are associated with Athenian tetradrachms found in Egyptian hoards. This coin may be an Egyptian imitation.
