Attractive Flavian Portrait
Vespasian. AD 69-79. Æ Sestertius (33mm, 26.34 g, 7h). Rome mint. Struck AD 71. Laureate head right / Roma standing left, holding Victory on extended right hand and spear in left. RIC II 443; BMCRE 560-3; BN 525-7. Near EF, hard dark green patina with hints of brown, black, and flecks of brick-red on the reverse, a hint of smoothing. Wonderful portrait.
